these swashbuckling minstrels, formerly stationed in the middle of connecticut (yes, the one with the 't' that everyone forgets) have gone the way of the titanic. they were, from left to right:
P. SIBBET: drums.
Jay BREITLING:
songsmith, gee-tar & anger. formerly of LAMPshADe,
KAM FONG,
and other notables; later of THE SMALL HOURS.
Peter GINSBERG: bass player (he had restraint). hereby referred to
as 'the wandering mediocre bassist.'
torgo met up as students at wesleyan college in Middletown CT. oh to be in a town in the middle. they have a tape of 4 & 8 track recordings released here on p.m.r., You Cease To Amaze Me (zoz009), a no-fi tape of one of their last live shows, The Lengths That I Will Go To (zoz015), as well as a song on a Proteen Records compilation. i never caught them live, dag nabbit, but there is audio & visual proof that they did, once upon a time.
as for the critics, Mode Magazine called their music "intelligent punk."
