yes. you might know yrs truly as Lars ROSENBLUM. that is the name on my birth certificate, after all. perhaps you know it as Lars ROSENBLUM SORGENFREI (my non-maiden name, one could say). but yrs truly likes to use Lars RO when playing music, writing poems, making art, etc. it has become a habit (you could say). am also occasionally referred to as zoz man or MC Flatfoot or parsnip.

analysis/psychoanalysis/philosophy/cosmology studies, taking
a masters in philosophy, cosmology, & consciousness at the

as far as activism goes, my latest exploits have been partipating in the Occupy movement, co-founding FredsVagten Christiansborg (a.k.a. Peace Guard - a permanent anti-'war on terror' protest outside the Danish parliament), the mixed bag of my Iraqi refugee voyage from April - May of 2003, co-organizing The Jerusalem Hug (which has now absorbed the 5 MILLION PEACE MARCH) on Jerusalem - please spread the word!, and the disappointing World March for Peace and Nonviolence of 2009-2010.

yrs truly loves to play the drums, bass, guitar, sing, and, most of all, tap on everything in sight. first played in a band called GARDEN PARTY. they became HAYWOOD after yrs truly left. then was in classic rock limbo with HER COUSIN, along with Jay BREITLING of TORGO fame (& initially of LAMPshADe; fame), and Scott MILSTEAD, who later drummed for LAMPshADe for a while before moving on to CARBON LEAF. then started up COMMUNAL GYM SHORTS - a band which was not meant to last past high school.
after my first year of university in 1992, yrs truly helped start up LAMPshADe;, my last serious band, which died in 1996 while its members roamed the earth. in addition to this, have played in CHRISTIAN CROTCH and the side-projects pa'vo' yi'JAH and SARSPARILLA & THE PONDEROSA PINES, as well as solo shows just as Lars RO. one short-lived project was THE LARS RO ORCHESTRA in Montréal with a FINE set of musicians.
upon arriving in Danmark in 1996, yrs truly started drumming & singing for (I DARE ONE OF YOU TO COME AND) FIGHT ME!, as well as singing & songwriting & playing guitar for sfu·ma·to. the former was relatively short-lived, while the latter became serious band number two, continuing in the SF Bay area for two years, before returning to København & finally going nomadic. was playing drums for a while for København's notorious lo-fi wonder, OBSTINATE ESTHER, and then for a spell in the math-rock duo THE QUADRATURE which has now been downsized to the solo project of Dan WYCKOFF. the latest of the bunch is NAVRATILOVA, a (very) free floating drum n' bass project.
FAMILY:
as fate would have it, my marvellous mother, the unforgettable Eva BRINKMAR, died 15 years ago back in 1994. if this page is dedicated to anyone, it's her.
my Dad (David) & my step-mom (Pam) live in Villanova, PA (a
suburb of Philadelphia).
my brother from 1982 (Zack) is living & working in NYC.
my brother from 1974 (Travis) is now based in Florida, apparently done with customs & border enforcement.
my lovely wife from 23 May 1998 through 2003 was the marvellous Esther R.S., or Esther8. each of us walked a separate path, our paths met & became symbiotically intertwined, and then our paths diverged once more. que sera sera - jeg elsker dig Esther...
