the onslaught of a devastating attack of the JUNO was accompanied
by symptoms of heavy sweating, heightened adrenalin, rhythmic muscular
convulsions, and a profound sense of well-being. side effects include
temptation to extragavant financial expenditure in order to procure every
reproduced audio document for which they are responsible (see Dr.s
DeSoto, MagWheel, Subpop, Jadetree, etc.), and a terminal state of
withdrawal.
i spoke to singer and occasional guitar player arlie, who was more
than willing to do an interview, except he had to leave early to
recuperate. so the following was split between drummer greg &
guitar player jason. (every so often we here at p.m.r. interview
a new band - the 5 W's & How?, plus a story about that age-old indie-rock
institution, crashing at people's homes on tour.) voila.
who: greg

jason: "one of the funniest two shows we've played were two we played with DAYS OF THE NOW in 1997. i don't know how we ended up playing together with them. so we played two shows in Pontiac and Grand Rapids, and while we were backstage, one of them spilled a whole bottle of Jaegermeister on the front of my speaker cabinet. See - you can still see the stains on it over there. I looked at the guy in shock, but he just turned to me and said, 'Sorry bro - casualties of war.' I was so dumbfounded by his response that I didn't do anything about it."
