this is the chanteuse formerly known as GOO. presenting:

Catherine: vocals, acoustic guitar, & electric guitar. (formerly of LAMPshADe;)

website:

yes, take a look at her super purty site.

disco:

she released a phenomenal self-titled CD in 2003, earlier having 'released' (if you can call it that) one 7 song CD (a demo, really) of a live performance at the Crooked Bar in Los Angeles CA (recorded in January 2002). if the heavens smile upon us, p.m.r. will release a remastered version of it one of these months (insh'Allah!) in 2006 she released 'Hurricane Glass' on Tallgrass Records, and was then signed by Charisma/EMI who re-released it with an extra song. alas, they then did as major labels do, and sacrificed quality for profit margins, so she is free again! her latest release is the 'Empty Buildings EP' (also available on iTunes) which i can't wait to hear! check her website or her myspace page for details on how to obtain a copy.

sound:

yee haw! Catherine has a bunch of soundclips and mp3s up on the web now, as well as on herspace & a few live tracks on Feenyheads (the fanpage i set up for her)...

shows:

so far she has played a whole bunch of solo shows, and shows with a full band too. the first two were in January and February 2002 (respectively) at the Crooked Bar in Hollywood (Los Angeles) CA. the third was at a benefit for CFOG on the 20th of March 2002 in downtown Los Angeles CA. the fourth was on the 27th of March at another benefit (for theatre, thus time) at Club 17 on the third floor of the Hollywood Highland structure in Los Angeles CA. she's also played at The Hotel Cafe zillions of times, Zen a bunch of times, as well as Molly Malone's, and even that place called Genghis Cohen's or something in West Hollywood too... not to mention all over the UK, a fair bit in Belgium, NYC, once or twice in Colorado, opening for Suzanne VEGA, Wilco, Martha WAINWRIGHT, Dr. John, & John PRINE! if you haven't seen her yet, oh boy... take a deep, deep breath, make sure yr sitting down, and prepare yrself for a soul-wrenching experience!
